     I started this web site to share a little bit about our wonderful family.  We are the luckiest family in the world because we all get along so very well.  We respect each other.  We support each other.  We encourage each other.  And most of all, we love each other.

 

     My name is Steven.  Dave, Marcie, and I were born and raised in a small town in South Dakota called Yankton.  My parents’ names are Joan and Colin Monfore.  My father passed away in 2001.  Thankfully my mother is doing great.  My father was the publisher of the local newspaper in Yankton.  We all left the Yankton area in the late seventies and early eighties.  We all eventually migrated to Arizona and lived there for several years.  My brother Dave and his wife Carol now live in the Denver area.  My sister and her husband Jeff moved back to South Dakota but to the other end of the state and settled in the Black Hills.  Marcie is the only one of us siblings to have children.  Their names are Robert and Andrew.  Robert is a budding artist and Andrew is in the Army.

 

     Since we are spread out around the country, we do not get to see each other as much as we would like too.   But we do call each other on a regular basis.  I think keeping in contact so often has been a major reason why we are such a strong family.

 

    There will be more to this web site later.  This is just the first draft.  It is my first time designing a web site.  In the future, this web site will contain pictures and a short paragraph about my grandparents and my parents' siblings.
